"When you truly love someone, you begin to blame yourself even though you are entitled to your own emotions. You learn that none of it matters. Because when you love someone, you just want to take their pain away so you go on forgetting about your own. And when they tell you that they are hurting, physically or emotionally, it shakes you until you break.. until you feel like you do not deserve to love them because you could not make their sadness go away. So it haunts you and you’re left with being sorry for things you don’t need to be sorry for. You won’t recall any of the times they pissed you off or drove you insane, you won’t recall because the only room in your mental capacity is filled up with how sad you made the person you love feel. All of the good times, bad times, happy memories, shitty memories— all won’t matter. Because right now, at this moment, there are bits and pieces of them scattered all over the floor. And when you love someone, you’ll be there to pick them back up, one by one, pricks and all."
